The Farmgirl Friday Blog Hop #128

Goin' Green

I've got some BIG news from the farm...  Our solar system was installed this week.

Here are our new panels on the roof of the garage
As soon as our local utility flips the switch to turn it on to the grid we will be generating our own energy to run everything on the farm.  This has been a project a long time in coming.  We stopped installation on our last home after we found this one last October.

Our installation team was great.  They completed this project in under 4 hours.  We were amazed.

The system we selected will provide 100% of our peak energy use and will sell back to Southern California Edison the energy that we don't use.
