Happy FarmGirl Friday!!!
I hope your week has been full of good food, friends, and family. My week has been another great one. I dealt with a little empty nest syndrome early in the week (after a visit with my son and daughter-in-law), but my good friend Michelle spent several days visiting with me and that helped melt away my sadness. Sometimes, I just miss those darn kids so much. Anyway, this week was full of good times for me. Here's a little of what impressed me most in pictures...
I love morning glory as it winds through our yard...
One of my new layers layed a real pullet egg. I've read about them and though my young hens have been laying for almost a month now, this was my first small pullet egg. Isn't it cute?Last night Michelle and I finished up my last batch of grapes. We ended up with 15 jars of jelly... Thanks for your help Michelle!
Michelle and I have been working to catch up on a few needlework projects. Her talented daughter Tiffany drew these cute Aunt Martha designs onto my tea towel after I let it sit and fade out.
I began collecting eggs early this morning and the girls did not disappoint. I am finding between 8 and 11 eggs in the boxes every day. They taste soooo good too. Thank you to my little hens.
I took this cute picture of my Queenie and the girls this morning before they went out to forage...
Here's one of the last ears of corn in the chicken garden... The girls finished it off in no time...
