Farmgirl Friday Update

This week I have been down with a painful middle ear infection. I feel kinda guilty. I haven't worked in the garden at all. The experience has changed my plans for a winter garden, for now.

The only real work I've done all week was time spent in the kitchen making a few batches of yummy salsa verde from a recipe Candy shared from Farmgirl Fare. It's yummy. I recommend it.

I have had a lot of time to reminisce, lying in bed for hours...  I have a new pet project...  Project Thankful.  A blog hop for sharing what we are thankful for today.  If you get the chance, please drop by and add your ten cents.

I plan to make some gifts in a jar cookies soon and I will post the recipes when they're done.  Other than that, it has been a much needed slow week.  Our mountains were dusted with snow yesterday morning, we are told we MAY get a bit of snow overnight and it's starting to FEEL like Christmas around here.

I wish you many blessings this week.

Heidi

  4. Thanks Country Gal, Kelsey, and Deb,
I am working on it. Deb, I am eagerly anticipating those questions. My Hubby checked this morning and my tomatoes, eggplants, jalapenos, and green sweet peppers inside the hoop house are still blooming and growing well. Temperatures were recorded this week that should have killed them and everything that I did not cover was finally killed within the last 48 hours. I think these hoop houses can really extend seasons.
