So much work ~ but it's sure fun, isn't it! ;~D<br />Your herbs will probably like your poor soil in the bee garden. They are funny that way. My little spring garden was that way many years ago when I first started a garden there. I always put my grass clippings there as mulch between the plants and it has become beautiful loose soil now. It might be worth a try to help improve the crumb.<br />The sisal trellis looks great ~ it will be so pretty with the runner beans climbing it!<br />I have read that the oil around the bee hive does work for the ants, too.<br />And your lilacs are beautiful! One of my favorite flowers! MMmmmmm!
